Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Physician Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies. Your role will involve ensuring timely reimbursement for services rendered and maintaining accurate billing records.

Duties:
- Review and verify patient information, medical records, and insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing
- Assign appropriate medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services
- Prepare and submit electronic or paper claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues or discrepancies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical coding guidelines and regulations
- Assist with medical collections as needed

Requirements:

Applicant must be proficient in hospital-based physician billing and collections with at least 2-3 years' experience. STRONG PHYSICIAN Accounts Receivable experience.

Must be able to follow claim and resolve. Must also have knowledge of PPO, HMO, Medi-Cal and Medicare Insurance plan guidelines. Ability to audit credit accounts, Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and LCD/NCD coding including ensuring compliance to accepted guidelines.

Pay: $20.50 - $23.00 per hour
